For over 30 years, Secdem have been producing screens of high quality using PMMA. This is one of the earliest polymers and is well known around the world by a variety of trade names (eg Altuglas Perspex and Plexiglas.) The original PMMA was seen as a replacement for glass in a variety of applications and is currently used extensively in glazing applications. The material is one of the hardest polymers, rigid, glass-clear with glossy finish and good weather resistance. Screens are also available to order in Altuchoc EI 50 high impact resistance material.

Colours
All the models of bubbles and windshields which are 3mm thick, are available in 20 different colours. The thicker 4mm plus screens are produced in clear and light smoky tint. The 6mm screens are only available in clear. The colour is ‘tinted’ in the whole screen and is never just coated on the surface of the screen.
Measurements
The height of the Secdem screens is designed for optimal efficiency for a rider of average height.

Shapes
There are 4 styles which cover most models of bikes and scooters produced over the last 40 years.
The Secdem screen can replace the bike’s own screen and can improve the protection of the rider. There are model specific screens for scooters.
1. ST – standard version (same measurements as the original)
2. HP – high protection version (with deflectors)
3. SU – taller version which keeps to the original design but is a few centimeters higher
4. DC – double bubble version. The base of the screen keeps the original curving and an extra streamlining protects the rider’s helmet.

Fitting
The screens are supplied ready drilled, and where necessary, additional fasteners are supplied. Most of the screens are direct replacements for the original screen, and make use of the bike’s own fasteners.
